Cover-to-Cover Fall Reading Club PDF Print E-mail

In-N-Out 2010 Fall Reading Program: October 9 - November 20

Children ages 4 – 12 are encouraged to sign up for our Fall Reading Program, Cover-To-Cover, which is generously sponsored by In-N-Out!

To participate in the program, each child must fill out an enrollment card. Upon filling out the card, each child will be given a reading log. Children are expected to read five books appropriate for their reading level and write the titles they’ve completed on their reading logs. After five books have been read, a parent or guardian should sign the reading log. For every five books read, the child will receive a Cover to Cover Club Achievement Award! Each participant may earn up to three award certificates during the program (while supplies last).

Baby Storytime

It's never too early to read to your baby. Reading to babies exposes them to the spoken word, which is a significant step in the process of developing literacy skills. And when you regularly expose your baby to books, you are demonstrating how books are put together: books have front covers, titles, and the pages are in numerical order, etc. Additionally, reading to babies introduces them to their letters, numbers, colors and shapes.

We welcome you and your baby to the wonderful world of books, language, dance and sing-alongs at our new baby storytime. This series of classes for infants ages 0 – 18 months will be held on Thursdays starting at 10:30 am from September 23 to November 11 in the Library's Community Room. Sign-ups will begin September 7, but we are limited to 30 participants, so register just as soon as you can. Older children are welcome, but please remember that this storytime is designed specifically for babies.

Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytime, best suited for children ages 3 - 5 years, is a wonderful resource for helping children to develop their verbal skills, their means of expression, and further solidify basic concepts -- all in preparation for Kindergarten. We hope you and your little ones will join us for our Fall preschool storytime on Wednesdays at 11:30 am from September 22 to November 10 in the Library's Community room. No advanced registration is required for preschool storytime.
